The meeting began at 7:00 pm on February 8, 2005 with 10 members from the following groups: Woodbury Valley Creek Thursday pm, Mahtomedi Friday, Midway Wednesday pm, Inner Peace Thursday, Uptown Thursday am, St. Stephens White Bear Lake Wednesday am.
Concept Two: The Al-Anon Family Groups have delegated complete administrative and operational authority to their Conference and its service arms.
Treasurer’s Report: January P&L shows $1,377.64 for net income. There was a question about the $0.28 sales tax paid on the P&L. There was a decision accepted that all names on all reports only have first name and last initial, unlike the January 2005 Deposit Detail. A question was raised about the State of Minnesota tax $935.82 paid 1/24/05 and the Minnesota Department Sales Tax $491.18 paid 1/24/05. Since the Treasurer was not present someone will check with him about these amounts. The Treasurer’s Report was accepted.
Nomination of Officers: Since a quorum is not present, all elections of new officers will be held during the March 2005 meeting.
End of Year Inventory: It was decided that an end of year inventory would be done by an ad hoc committee on February 19, 2005, 9:00 am. Ideas were tossed around as to how to keep up with sales and items given away at other functions. There was no decision made.
Directory updates: A person is needed to update the directory. There was a volunteer for the position of web chair and the office manager volunteered to compare the new printed directory to the detailed office directory.
Events: It was suggested that we each ask a group to volunteer to take on and event to sell literature so that this job would not fall to the same people all of the time and it might get the groups more involved.
Southern Minnesota Conference: This AA eventwith Al-Anon participation may be revived to take place in Mankato in July or August.
Gopher State We don’t have anything going on at Gopher State.
Parent Fair: Many schools would like Alateen information in the schools and maybe even meetings to be held here.
Alateen Chair: There is a great need for substitute sponsors in Alateen groups.
Literature: There was $276.00 of literature sold at the District 20 pot luck.
Office Manager: There is a great need for volunteers in the office. Each member is asked to recruit new volunteers from each group.
Web Chair: New groups need to be kept up on the web and he needs to be kept informed of needed changes.
