Your Intergroup needs you!

Have you ever bought literature or medallions at the Saint Paul Al-Anon/Alateen Intergroup office in the Recovery Church in Saint Paul?

Have you used the Intergroup website (shared with Minneapolis AIS) to find a meeting or to get information about using Zoom?

Have you enjoyed good food and speakers at a Saint Paul Al-Anon Gratitude Night?

Some of these opportunities may be a thing of the past unless members step up to participate in Intergroup.

• Most months this year no more than six members have attended the monthly meetings of Intergroup Representatives (IRs). There were only 4 at the December meeting. This is not enough (< 5% of about 98 groups) to do business like electing officers or starting outreach projects like the 2024 billboard at Marshall and Cretin.
• The bookstore is no longer open on Saturdays because of lack of volunteers.
• The same people continue to do service in Intergroup without regard to the principle of rotation.
• There are many open service positions. See Service Opportunies page for information about them.

These opportunities can enhance your personal growth in Al-Anon. Service is not just about helping Intergroup, it will help you, as well.

If you think you don’t know enough or don’t have the skills, remember that everyone active in service was once in that position. If you are willing, there are people to bring you up to speed and get you started.

Start by volunteering to be an Intergroup Representative and join us for our in-person meetings at the Recovery Church, 253 State St., 7 PM every second Tuesday. The next meeting will be January 13.
